Bringing the benefits of hemp textiles to the eco-conscious consumer.

Embrace a Greener Future with Our SusTainable Hoodiesv

Every day at 6:25am, in the dead of Chicago winters, I was told to wear a jacket. Every one of those days I’d leave wearing only a hoodie. Hoodies were comfortable. It was that simple.

In high school I took some business classes that allowed me to explore different business ideas. I googled “what is the best material to make hoodies out of?” and hemp was among one of the results. I started reading about it and found that it was a very sustainable fabric. Thus began my journey of researching hemp and its many benefits and potential uses.

Hemp was widely used to make clothes long ago. That’s the basis for the brand,Airetage. I want to highlight the historic relationship between humans and hemp; a long heritage together that’s being revived today.

The name is pronounced like “heritage,” without the “h.” The “aire” comes from a French suffix, indicating a person who is characterized by the main word.
